Born and raised in a Catholic Orthodox family, brother Joel got born again in 1989 in a small prayer group in Kinshasa RDCongo, that’s where this man of God had his personal experience with Jesus Christ.
Brother Joel discovered his calling after being baptized in water and in the Holy Ghost followed by his spiritual father, who noticed that the brother has a beautiful voice of singing to the Lord. He started a choir with 3 persons and that choir turns to have more than 30 persons that he was leading.
In 1992 he recorded a CD with some friends, in 1995 God led him to South Africa where he recorded with his good friend brother Kache Kashala in Sanjolama Nkosi, the Album is well kwon until this days allover the world specially in Congolese community.
Brother Joel recorded more than 10 CD’s with friends where he was helping with musical arrangement . In 1998 God led his paths to the USA where he became a music director in Mountain of prayers he assumed this responsibility for 5 years in Dallas TX; he has been invited many places where people got blessed by his performance in the spirit of worship and praise (Dr. Tony Evans Church, Bishop TD Jakes and many more) to represent the African community with his music.
In 2002 brother Joel decided to move from Dallas to Charlotte NC where he joined Rev. Freddy Shembo ministry Mt Carmel Church of God where after observation of 2 years he was nominated to became the music director of this church until today;
In 2005 brother Joel recorded his first solo Album Just one word helped by his good friend Gilbert Mulamba producer,Pajo Tsasa producer Elisha production with pastor Florian Kamanda Executive producer and many friend who helped him to come up strong with this beautiful project. Brother Joel is married and has a son.
